Armed With The Power Of God

Hola mi familia! How are you guys all doing?? I want to hear updates from you please email me! No promises I'll be able to respond soon but I'll do my best

I only have a week and a half left here at the mtc it's getting so real! I feel like a have a constant pit in my stomach knowing that when I get put to the field, its constant Spanish with no teachers to help but this week I saw the gift of tongues SO much! My Spanish is coming along!

There's something so powerful about being here in the mtc with ALL of these missionaries. Sitting in the devotionals, or in the go and do overview, or in the cafeteria, I'm surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of faithful missionaries who are sacrificing a year and a half or two years to the Lord. There's such a beautiful power in the fact that every person i see here is doing the same thing as me. And this is just the provo mtc! Then i think about how many missionaries are currently in the field, and how many missionaries are in the training centers all over the world. Thinking about this gives me courage and faith knowing that all of these teenagers in the church just like me, are going out to preach the word of God and bring others to the powerful and life-changing gospel of our loving and saving, Savior Jesus Christ.

On sunday we went to choir practice and were rehearsing a medley with 4 songs: when i am baptized, i belong to the church of jesus christ, and i love to see the temple, and I'm trying to be like jesus, which all four together was to represent the covenant path of our lives as members of the church which i thought was so fitting for a whole choir of missionaries. I had chills the entire time we rehearsed these because the power in our voices especially when we sung I belong to the church of jesus christ was SO powerful.

Got to sing in church with the hermanas in my district! We randomly put together this musical number the day before performing it and it arranged the two songs together with the guitar it was so fun! If you wanna see the video it's on my Facebook feed!

BYU ADVENTURE! Don't worry guys, I'm still following the rules haha. I had to return garments so we got permission to walk to byu campus and the Wilk center to return them and while we were there, we got to get one of our elders a birthday present(a cutie lil byu tie) bc his bday was the next day(shown in my photos)and we had a partyyy! But ya I kinda felt like a rebel for the day but while on byu campus but we were celebrities fr. Like walking in the store, everyone was like "HEY SISTERS WE LOVE YOU!!" I was like oh my gosh heyyyy I'm popular, but seriously I love being known for having this tag on, it's such an honor to be known as a missionary and it humbles me every day that I get to be a representative of Christ!!!

This week we met a new couple in our branch presidency the Sanchez's and their from Ecuador and they were talking to us in the go and do experience and they were crying and said "go take the gospel to our family there" meaning everyone jn Ecuador is that not the cutest thing??? They kept complimenting how good our Spanish is too which was so touching and special. Such a blessing to have their sweet spirit in our branch!

Got to an endowment session last pday and it might have been one of the most special temple experiences ever!! Heading to do ceilings right now and I cant wait!

Signing out!
