SUPER SUPER MEGA
HEY YA'LL
Guess whatttt I'm already HALFWAY thru training! The first week honestly felt like a year long but this past week flew by and I cant believe we head out in just 3 short weeks! Today we sent off half our branch to the field because they're all stateside so we had to say so many goodbyes but I'm SO excited for their adventures!
This week was a bit hard because I think it hit me that i'm in this for the long hall lol it's not just a short trip but esta bien! Spanish was also pretty difficult this week but I'm just trying to remember that I've already learned so much with the gift of tongues! Some people in my district are definitely ahead when it comes to speaking the language so sometimes I'm scared that I'm gonna hold them back which sounds ridiculous but I genuinely would never wanna hold anyone back from learning. And comparison is the thief of joy so some days are for sure harder than others but I'm just grateful I'm learning Spanish haha I'm gonna use it so much the rest of my life!
4th of July in mtc was WILDDD! we got to watch the Joseph Smith movie and get out of class early and had byu creamery ice cream which was BOMBB and then we watched fireworks and our district basically started and mtc wide national anthem so ya we're pretty cool
Funny story! One elder in our district, Elder Sweat, had to go to az this week to get his visa and another guy, elder stringham stayed here in provo the day elder sweat left to az if that makes sense. Elder sweat left at 3am that morning and accidentally took elder stringhams phone to az with him HAHA so in return, while elder sweat was out of town, all the elders decided to wear his ties lol it was SOOO funny cuz none of us noticed until they told all of us in class and we dieddd haha our elders are so flipppin hilarious
Found out that I had to get a yellow fever shot so we went to the clinic and expected it to be short and sweet THEN the doctor there was like uhhh you don't have any shots done that u actually need (basically i thought no one would care because I thought no one would see it on my portal) so he was like well u need 8 shots before you head to the field. Um. No thanks. But I had to suck it up and thank goodness I don't cry like my sister or pass out like my dad because I got 5 shots within 3 minutes my arms were SOOOO sore the next day but esta bien u gotta do whatchu gotta do for the mish!
We had a really great devotional review last night as a district and I just love these meetings with them because we all have such good thoughts and ideas! I read a scripture about the Armour of God and the devo last night was all about praying so I made a comment about how praying, reading scriptures, just being kind to people, and so many other things adds up to the full armor of God which was something I'd never thought about until then. Like being a missionary, we have to constantly wear the armor of God to be able to teach and use the gift of tongues at all times!
