Miracle After Miracle

Buenos tardes mis queridos!!

This week was FULL of miracles that are insane that I can't even begin to describe! Basically because I've been pushing my comp to contact more, we finally reached our goals for the week, crazy how that works

Today we went to Presidents house for a sisters conference which is a partyyy but real quick I'll tell 2 stories from this week. And don't worry don't worry, we got permission to send emails and call our families late because of the conference but GUESS WHAT! I got to see and hangout with my cute comp hermana friend from the mtc all day today because I haven't seen her for 3 months and she lives 5 hours away and I also had to say goodbye to my favorite trainer and possible comp in the whole world hermana mendez bc she goes home next week and ngl I'm mega depressed abt don't even ask me abt it I might cry lol

We went contacting a week ago and found this mom and her daughter and felt really strong that we needed to talk to them. The other night she happened to be in the same restaurant at the same time as us and bought our empanadas we even ran into her in the store the other day and got to set a visit for later that night, so in the visit she started telling us that it's just her and her daughter living here with no other family and they feel really lonely so they went walking the other night and were talking about how they think God has abandoned them, then we came around the corner and contacted them, talking about our Savior. She said that this was a sign from God that he really is there, like are we kidding??? WOW He is so aware of everyone. Then we got to give her our side of the story how we felt super strong that we needed to talk with them and we got to give them a Book of Mormon and she couldn't believe that it was free she had the cutest reaction YAY FOR MARIA!

OTRO MILAGRO:
We had intercambios again this week but this time I stayed in my area and the other hermana came here and we only contacted for about 2 hours but we found about 25 new people!!!! (Doesn't mean all of them are progressing lol pero bueno) so we contacted this guy named Cristian the other day and felt sooo strong that he has full potential. Anyways we visited him in like a front porch area and we found out he has a girlfriend AND 3 KIDS WOOHOOO!!! You guys...the lesson was absolutely incredible. The spirit was like physically tangible no joke. And...THEY CAME TO CHURCH FOR BOTH HOURS!!! Sacrament meeting was incredible because it was fast sunday and i think most of the ward is converts so it was basically all strong converts testifying of our Savior Jesus christ, such a blessing for this family to hear for the first time. They want us to visit them tomorrow and I'm literally so excited! My favorite part about the whole thing was watching their little 5 year old boy wave goodbye as he headed off to primary with a huge smile on his face my heart pretty much melted I can't handle how cute this family is

Half our visits in the capilla just didn't show up this week which was suchhh a rip not gonna lie I was not very happy lol, and we even had members come to help us in the lessons and the people didn't show up it happens

I hit 4 months as a missionary tmrw! TIME FLIES!

MY FAVORITE PART:
Ok are you guys ready for this scripture?? I don't think you're ready. Might just be one of the best I've ever read...

I was reading a talk my dad gave to me and came across this chapter in Doctrine and Covenants 123 and I ended up just reading the whole chapter (made of a goal of reading and studying the whole book of mormon and all of doctrine and covenants in my mission we'll see how that goes) but anyways I got to the end of the chapter and verse 17 says "Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed" 

ISN'T THAT GOLDEN?!? I had to read it about 5 times to actually believe that I was reading something this amazing. I love it because when we do EVERYTHING in our power to have the spirit with us and do everything in our power to feel his love and see those blessings, THEY WILL COME and we will "see the salvation of God" and "his arm will be revealed". But we must WAIT! I feel like in this world we are so impatient because we constantly have things at our fingertips, but we must have patience! He works in HIS time, not ours. Like Elder Soares said best "what works for thee, works for me". Nothing more needs to be said lol I can't top that

Also I loved that it says CHEERFULLY! With the best attitude possible and with a mind full of christlike thoughts because he is the only way we can have joy in this life! At times especially in the mission but just life it's so hard to be cheerful (especially when those people don't show up for the visits) but when we aren't cheerful it's harder for us to feel the power of the holy ghost! Anyways just thought I would share this bomb scripture with you all and I challenge you all to BE CHEERFUL this week!!!! I promise you'll be able to see those countless blessings constantly raining down on you from our loving Father in heaven

Happy Monday everyone! And happy p-day to all my missionary friends . Hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Holaaa mis queridos!! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter remembering our Savior! This weeks recap: -exchanges with the hermanas in la Concordia with hna Tischner (aka one of my new best friends) and let me just say, two white girls in the dangerous parts of my area...not a good idea -reached almost all of our goals this past week and found SO many escogidos and only 1 person came to church for Easter, definitely not the result i was hoping to have -when we went to la Concordia to start exchanges and finally got to ride my first mototaxi -got to do the Easter studies every day this week and wowww it made it so incredibly special! -as for the title of this email, we just went to the part lf our area called "Cristo Vive" or "Christ lives" on the day that he resurrected so i thought that was kinda cool!! A Mom Of 2 And A Grandma

HELLOOO my wonderful friends and family! The life of Hermana Jones in Santo Domingo just got a whoooole lot more interesting so we're getting right to it! Today I'm gonna write this by day of what happened because just so many eventful things that went down Monday: traveled to Quito, went to an appointment with the mission presidents wife, then waited in the offices to receive transfers, opened transfers in front of President and me and hermana friend SCREAMED and literally jumped out of our seats when we saw we're training AGAIN!!! (We even have video proof) Tuesday: leadership council and helping the other hermanas get ready for transfers and traveling Wednesday: started off the day with a great start, we go to the terminal in Carcelen and get the other hermanas in the bus and while they're sitting in the bus waiting a guy comes in a robs them, her phone and her money and her card, and they hadn't even left to go to the concordia yet...sometimes i hate ecuador wit...
