Running Low On Money And Light

This week was a bit harder and way longer but so so good!

☆Had transfers this week! I think I was way too comfortable with Hermana Espinoza lol we got along too well so President decided to switch up the entire mission. Every sister companionship changed except for one. BUT not me hehe I got a new comp and shes the cutest! Her name is Hermana Xivir (shee-vere), shes from Guatemala, is 9 months into her mission, and is about 5ft haha I'm literally a giant next to her. But we're both so excited for this transfer and shes pumped to have a gringo as her comp.

☆Went contacting yesterday and at first we didn't know where to go, but we prayed and I got a strong prompting that we need to contact while walking to our friends house! While walking I found SO many chosen people (which doesn't happen super often especially where we were) and we also got to visit our friend Maria who has literally canceled every lesson with us cuz she's been sick...for the past 3 weeks... anyways they were touched that we visited them and I knew it was all thanks to the spirit but ya they have like 5 chiwawas (don't judge me for spelling that wrong my brain isn't working in english) and one of them peed because it was so scared of us and then I ended up sitting in that pee on the couch for a solid hour so i mayyy or may not have smelled like pee the rest of the day lol FUN TIMES

☆Participated in choir for ward conference last minute and the chorister put us right in front and i had to learn songs in spanish in 10 minutes cuz I'd never heard them before and we accidentally missed singing the first song whoops

☆ok remember how the last english classes we had one person?? Ya this time we had 6 PEOPLE WOOOO!!! It's getting so much better! So weird and so difficult teaching it because my brain has to switch language every two seconds BUT so many people here want to learn english!

☆we got a reference from a member named Magdalena and had a call with her Saturday night, then SHE CAME TO CHURCH WHAT?! After relief society we asked her how she felt and how was her experience and she said "I've attended a lot of churches but I've never ever in my life felt so peaceful and welcome, every thing is so focused in Jesus Christ which is so different from the other churches and I love it" soooo ya nothing more needs to be said she's just a rockstar. We're gonna try to set a baptismal date this week with her

☆another week another baptism! Baptism for cutie Fiorella went sooo well! She accidentally slipped getting out of the font and hit her head pretty hard...hopefully that's not what she thinks of when she looks back on that day but this baptism was wayyy less stressful and so full of the Spirit!

☆low key getting sick and tired of this not having light thing. It's gettin old let me tell ya. Literally this week We dont have light from 2:00-9:00, which means if we have visits we can't call the people and tell them we're outside waiting and we can't call them to ask if they're on their way to the chapel or anything. You're prolly thinking, well you can call bc it's cellular right? Like you have a chip in your phone so it should work...ya nope. Even with the chip in our phone it doesn't work because there's literally and absolutely no signal at all times so that's a party

☆also didn't get our money this week so we're running dangerously low on that and basically don't know what to do...maybe we won't eat this week haha maybe that'll solve our problem

ANYWAYS now for spiritual:
I was reading this morning in 2 Nephi 9:50 which says "Come, my brethren, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come buy and eat; yea, come buy wine and milk without money and without price". When I first read it I didn't understand but reading it deeper, I realized WOW I love this!!! When we "hunger" and "thirst" after those things of the gospel and really truly desire for a relationship with our Savior, ITS FREE. He already paid the price for us so we don't have to pay anything. He says "come buy and eat", meaning come and partake of my gospel because I've created it FOR YOU and I've paid the huge price FOR YOU. Love love love this meaning and that we don't have to worry about anything because everything in this gospel is completely free through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the Rock of our Redeemer.

Les amo mucho have an amazing week!
Xoxo
