The Family Of 8 And A Fecha Bautismal
This week went by pretty quick and I honestly don't remember much that happened but here we go!
☆we had surprise zone conference and had to travel 2 hours away to the North part of the mission...that was fun. We woke up at 4:30 meaning to wake up at 3:00 to do our hair before the electricity went out at 4:00, rip we missed the alarm so basically my hair was a rats nest for zone conference, and I did my makeup in absolute pitch dark with a crappy flashlight bc I didn't have my phone that morning(another story for another day) so basically I just was not looking my best for a multi zone conference but who cares? Not me
☆zone conference was SO good tho! Learned a lot and literally got called on every five seconds to say something my brain was fried because of exhausted but we're thriving
☆we found and taught a family of 8 PEOPLE!!! You guys...I'm still in shock. We taught the Plan of Salvation and when I was explaining the Atonement, the dad had tears in his eyes it was such a spiritual moment and he could feel it! They have 6 kids and every single one of them was absolutely intrugued by everything we were saying! We have another lesson with them this week so I'll keep you guys updated
☆our friend Mabel that's 18 years old is getting baptized THIS SATURDAY WOOOOHOOOO!!!! She's so excited it's the cutest thing! I also contacted her boyfriend yesterday and gave him a book of mormon and told him that they can study together and he has interest! Hopefully something comes out of it
Spiritual!
My cute friend from home Sister Hale shared something in her email that stuck out to me so I thought i'd share it! It's a quote that says "when we are accomplishing the most good, that's when the greatest opposition comes". I LOVE this and it's so true! Here in my area we are seeing miracle after miracle but there is opposition every. single. day. And it's everything in me to use every last bit of patience I have haha but it's incredible to see the hand of God in his work! In Alma 17:11 it says "And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls." All I know is that we must have patience in our afflictions oppositions and we will be able to see the hand of the Lord!
ATTENTION ALL MISSIONARY FRIENDS
