Come Adore Him

Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer (if you dont know what song that is you're lame) Muy buenos tardes mis queridos hermanos y hermanas! What plans you got for this week to celebrate our Savior?

A lot happened this week but lucky for you guys I don't remember a lot of it haha:

- we had a lesson with a lady that we're teaching the other day and when we walked in, there was chairs instead of the couch that's usually there, she later explained that they had to get rid of the couch bc there were rats living in it...I've sat on it about 3 times before

- set a fecha bautismal yesterday with our friend Bryan for January 12th!

- set another fecha bautismal with Jessica but didn't put it in the carpeta because she hasn't attended church, so I said that if she comes to church (yesterday) we would put it in...she didn't come, she basically disappeared off the face of the planet, shes not answering us

- intercambios with hermana narvaez in Pusuki, low was soo so fun and good to get to know her bc I was so scared of her before haha, I'm her bestie hermana leader now (it's true she told me)

- we asked two of the teen girls we're teaching if they wanna get baptized in January, they both said yes but they have to "change some things in there lives", soooo more fechas coming soon

-my comp and I sang a lot! We sang in our ward dinner, zone conference, and for the kids yesterday in primary! So so fun singing christmas hymns!

-Christmas zone conference on Thursday! SO. MUCH. FUN. For our zone, us leaders made a whole scavenger hunt for the 3 zones which was sooo complicated but low ley turned into a big success! Everyone loved it! And president taught us a ton of things that I learned a lot from. At the end of the conference, they played YouTube videos of all of our families personally saying merry Christmas to us individually...let me just say, seeing my parents on that screen broke me a bit...haven't cried that hard in a long time

The only important part of Christmas, JESUS CHRIST:

We shared 1 John 5:1 with our friends yesterday and I just loved it so much so I have to share it with you too! It's says,

"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him."

Focus on your Savior this week and believe in Him with all your heart. All growing up I was taught to focus on the Savior but you know, as a little kid you don't really do much of that. Being here in Ecuador for Christmas has been the most humbling and special experience. Although sometimes I'm homesick and just want to be with my family because some days are so so so extremely hard and stressful, there is nowhere i'd rather be than serving these people. Nowhere i'd rather be than having this time to love and serve my Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart and learn, grow and love every minute of every day. Every second is a learning opportunity of how we can use the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His grace, to heal us. Yesterday for Christmas sunday we wanted every one of our friends to come to church so we started calling Saturday night, and passed by friends houses sunday morning, calling and spamming people phones just for them to come to church. But something I realized after, is that i should be making that efforts every sunday. I should be spamming peoples phones with calls ro invite them to come unto to Christ. To come adore their Savior.

I love my Savior and this time to remember His birth and to constantly, for a year and a half, to invite others to come adore Him.

Enjoy your Christmas with your families for me!!!
Les amo mucho have an amazing week!

Xoxo
