Called To The Work

Hola mis queridos! Espero que se encuentren muy muy bien! This week flewwww by I legitimately don't understand the concept of time in the mission for real and I don't remember half of what happened haha...

☆zone conference on Thursday in an area close to us and I had to stay there from 8am-9pm in the same church building because when we finished zone conference we waited until 7:00 when we were supposed to start a meeting with the stake president but it didn't start until 8:00...let's just say I didn't even walk a ton that day but I haven't felt that tired in months. Every part of me was exhausted and I have no clue how haha, even ended up falling asleep during my prayers that night with my comps and they couldn't wake me up

☆at presidents house today for preparation day to play sports and eat some good food and I cannot waitttt

☆this week everyone was prepping for voting day which was yesterday, so literally no one wanted to listen to us, like normal! Didn't have tons of success this week thanks to elections

☆realized yesterday that it's been a YEAR since I opened my mission call, how crazy is that???

☆went to a dog funeral yesterday and I've never seen a grown man cry so much in my entire life lol I felt bad, but it was hysterical

☆one of our friends I contacted sent us a text asking if he has to be baptized to marry a gringo mormon because we're all so pretty and teach our eternal familias and that he wants a family with us...yup blocked him, screenshot in my photos hehe

☆about 4 of our friends that were really progressing sent us texts this week saying they're not interested because they're learning about Jesucristo from other people

Spiritual!!
In Mosiah 17:2 it says:
"Now these sons of Mosiah were with Alma at the time the angel first appeared unto him; therefore Alma did rejoice exceedingly to see his brethren; and what added more to his joy, they were still his brethren in the Lord; yea, and they had waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth; for they were men of a sound understanding and they had searched the scriptures diligently, that they might know the word of God."

Yesterday when I was falling asleep I started thinking back to when I opened my call and the moment I read Ecuador as my assignment. I remember that day literally like it was yesterday and thinking back to those feelings I had prepping for the mission and everything. I was sooo nervous but I started to realize with time that it really doesn't matter where I'm "called to serve", what matters more is that I'm "called to the work" but I will say, Ecuador is perfect for me. The people, the language, the culture, the Lord knew this is where I'm supposed to be and I just was thinking about how grateful i am to be a missionary for Him. Bringing other people unto Him to "wax strong in the knowledge" is something the world can mever replace. Although there are parts of every day, every week, and every month that are hard, it's ALL worth it. Every second of every minute. I love being a missionary!!!!

Les amo mucho have an amazing week!

Xoxo
