Hola hola cómo están?

THIS WEEK:

- on monday hermana friend and i were together waiting for our uber the morning of leadership conference and some guy came up and robbed her phone it low key was terrifying and tried wrestling it out of her hands and kept saying "don't scream" then sprinted away, but honestly just glad he didn’t do something worse hermana friend even said , "The good thing is that when he opens the phone he'll see a picture of Christ and see that he robbed a disciple of Christ" HAHAHA

-got to ride in Presidents car to Santo Domingo after the leadership conference it was a party car...ya we all slept lol

-mini hurricane happened in a part of our sector called "Cristo vive" and tore off the roof of our friends house and flooded everything

-Intercambios with hermana Panchana in the area called "Las Islas"

-sacrificed our lunch yesterday to bring our 6 friends to church, worth it but now I'm starving and we don't have food lol

-Alejandros baptism!! So many complications and almost didn't get baptized but it allll worked out and 25 members came to support

-we played Carnaval for our preparation day! I got absolutely soaked with water, spray foam, and grass...lovely


SPIRITUAL:

I was studying in Alma 27:17-18 and it says,


"Now the joy of Ammon was so great even that he was full; yea, he was swallowed up in the joy of his God, even to the exhausting of his strength; and he fell again to the earth.  


 Now was not this exceeding joy? Behold, this is joy which none receiveth save it be the truly penitent and humble seeker of happiness."


I love that it says "swallowed up in the joy of Christ" because I really have seen so many lives change all because of the gospel of Christ. To the point that their faces change. There is light in their eyes and it's so noticeable because the the light of Jesus Christ. We work so hard "even to the exhausting of his strength" in the heat every single day but seeing that little light start to brighten, it's all worth it.

Happy Monday everyone! And happy p-day to all my missionary friends . Hope you are all doing well and staying safe! "Cristo Vive" On The Day That "Cristo Vive"

Holaaa mis queridos!! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter remembering our Savior! This weeks recap: -exchanges with the hermanas in la Concordia with hna Tischner (aka one of my new best friends) and let me just say, two white girls in the dangerous parts of my area...not a good idea -reached almost all of our goals this past week and found SO many escogidos and only 1 person came to church for Easter, definitely not the result i was hoping to have -when we went to la Concordia to start exchanges and finally got to ride my first mototaxi -got to do the Easter studies every day this week and wowww it made it so incredibly special! -as for the title of this email, we just went to the part lf our area called "Cristo Vive" or "Christ lives" on the day that he resurrected so i thought that was kinda cool!! A Mom Of 2 And A Grandma

HELLOOO my wonderful friends and family! The life of Hermana Jones in Santo Domingo just got a whoooole lot more interesting so we're getting right to it! Today I'm gonna write this by day of what happened because just so many eventful things that went down Monday: traveled to Quito, went to an appointment with the mission presidents wife, then waited in the offices to receive transfers, opened transfers in front of President and me and hermana friend SCREAMED and literally jumped out of our seats when we saw we're training AGAIN!!! (We even have video proof) Tuesday: leadership council and helping the other hermanas get ready for transfers and traveling Wednesday: started off the day with a great start, we go to the terminal in Carcelen and get the other hermanas in the bus and while they're sitting in the bus waiting a guy comes in a robs them, her phone and her money and her card, and they hadn't even left to go to the concordia yet...sometimes i hate ecuador wit...
