A Mom Of 2 And A Grandma

HELLOOO my wonderful friends and family! The life of Hermana Jones in Santo Domingo just got a whoooole lot more interesting so we're getting right to it!

Today I'm gonna write this by day of what happened because just so many eventful things that went down

Monday: traveled to Quito, went to an appointment with the mission presidents wife, then waited in the offices to receive transfers, opened transfers in front of President and me and hermana friend SCREAMED and literally jumped out of our seats when we saw we're training AGAIN!!! (We even have video proof)

Tuesday: leadership council and helping the other hermanas get ready for transfers and traveling

Wednesday: started off the day with a great start, we go to the terminal in Carcelen and get the other hermanas in the bus and while they're sitting in the bus waiting a guy comes in a robs them, her phone and her money and her card, and they hadn't even left to go to the concordia yet...sometimes i hate ecuador with a passion...ya really great start to the day haha. Anyways then me and hna friend went home and made cookies for the hnas and went to lunch in my first area of the mission (el inca will always have a peace of my heart), then we had an awesome lesson and put a fecha bautismal!! Honestly and truly such a fun day being comps with hna Friend for a day, my dream came true for just a couple hours lol. Then went to the offices and got to know the new elders and hermanas and went home to answer the regular questions about the mission they're so cute haha i love them all

Thursday: did studies with compy/bestie hna Friend, went to the offices to eat lunch and hang out with the other trainers and got to see mi hija hna Nelson WHOS TRAINING...I'm now a grandma, then went with the mission nurse and hna friend to make cookies and bring them to the offices. Met all the trainees and got assigned mi nueva hija hna Cansaya!!!! ate dinner all together and later headed back to the house to sleep

Friday: headed back to Santo Domingo and the bus people decided to take the LONGEST route possible so instead of being 3 hours it was almost 6, but point is that we got there finallyyyy

BENITOS BAPTISM!!! So so so absolutely incredible! He is amazing and when he bore his testimony he shared that he had been drinking even since he was 12 and only through the power of Jesus Christ he was able to stop...isn't he so cool or what? Already has his temple recommend for this weekend when he goes on the ward temple trip! He's pumped!!!

SPIRITUAL:

This week leading up to Holy Week i was thinking a lot about how i can make this Easter the most special one since its the only one I'll have in the mission. There's so many things we can all do, but I really want to focus it one having my mentality be even more engaged in bringing others unto Him so they can experience His Atonement for us. Theres a video below that I absolutely LOVE for Easter and I invite you all to watch it, but really I truly am so so incredibly grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. Seeing the change the His Atonement can give us is something irreplaceable. Little by little, we are experiencing the true sacrifice of Him who died for us. We are experiencing his love for us. We are experiencing the change we can have each day by just turning to Him. Something that my trainer pointed out to me is when Jesus appears to Mary and it says,

"And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus."

I love love love this so much because when we "turn" back to Him, we are choosing Him.

So my challenge this week, CHOOSE HIM! REMEMBER HIM and I know you be able to make this Easter special

Heres the video!
