My First Mariachi Band

HELLO HELLOOO!! The last week of this transfer flewww by! Here's what's up:


- we put a fecha with our friend Maria! She's awesome, I'm so so excited for her to enter the covenant path

-7 friends in church yesterday!!

- had a visit with a social media referral and holy cow they are the definition of CHOSENNNN there names are Antony and Erika...our first visit we talked about baptism and they both said they wanna get baptized, only one problem...they're not married. Any missionary or person that has served a mission understands the pain of this hahaha and on top of that he has to get a divorce...there's a likely chance I won't be here to see their baptism haha it might take a while, but they came to church yesterday with their 2 sweet girls who wouldn't stop hugging me and holding my hand oh my heck I love kids they truly are a piece of heaven on earth

- Benitos perspective for why he cant find his phone anywhere is because he knows when he reads BOM on his phone he gets distracted, but he thinks God had a reason for him losing it so that he can read in the physical book and be more focused💀he's now finishing the book of Ether!!!! 

- activity for mothers day on Saturday, sooo many members and friends came! The elders corum ordered a Mariachi band for all the moms so they came and played! It was a partyyy

- 3 of our converts are gonna go to the temple in Quito this week on Saturday, Benito, Rosita and Lìder!!! I'll share pictures next week, eeeek we get to help them all prepare names for baptisms for the dead


SPIRITUAL:

Reading a talk called "The answer is Jesus" taught me so many things this week! A scripture in John says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" and I love something else he mentioned from his own mission president that says,


 "We must know Christ better than we know him; we must remember him more often than we remember him; we must serve him more valiantly than we serve him"


I'm learning every day to see that truly, the answer is Jesus. In everything. He is our everything. We must do everything in His name because the more we do that, we will see miracles

Happy Monday everyone! And happy p-day to all my missionary friends . Hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Hector us the coolest guy out there let me tell ya, we sent him a text the morning of his baptism to ask him how he's feeling bc he was a bit nervous and he responded by saying "I'm good I'm just waiting until the hour comes, but I'm firm in my decision to be baptized" WOOHOO he's just the best. "Cristo Vive" On The Day That "Cristo Vive"

Holaaa mis queridos!! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter remembering our Savior! This weeks recap: -exchanges with the hermanas in la Concordia with hna Tischner (aka one of my new best friends) and let me just say, two white girls in the dangerous parts of my area...not a good idea -reached almost all of our goals this past week and found SO many escogidos and only 1 person came to church for Easter, definitely not the result i was hoping to have -when we went to la Concordia to start exchanges and finally got to ride my first mototaxi -got to do the Easter studies every day this week and wowww it made it so incredibly special! -as for the title of this email, we just went to the part lf our area called "Cristo Vive" or "Christ lives" on the day that he resurrected so i thought that was kinda cool!! A Mom Of 2 And A Grandma

HELLOOO my wonderful friends and family! The life of Hermana Jones in Santo Domingo just got a whoooole lot more interesting so we're getting right to it! Today I'm gonna write this by day of what happened because just so many eventful things that went down Monday: traveled to Quito, went to an appointment with the mission presidents wife, then waited in the offices to receive transfers, opened transfers in front of President and me and hermana friend SCREAMED and literally jumped out of our seats when we saw we're training AGAIN!!! (We even have video proof) Tuesday: leadership council and helping the other hermanas get ready for transfers and traveling Wednesday: started off the day with a great start, we go to the terminal in Carcelen and get the other hermanas in the bus and while they're sitting in the bus waiting a guy comes in a robs them, her phone and her money and her card, and they hadn't even left to go to the concordia yet...sometimes i hate ecuador wit...
