The Truest Church On Earth

Heyyyy anotha week down! Here's what's up in Santo Domingo:

- a pair of my favorite shoes molded over...hna Mendez and Friend, i now believe you two that things mold here in SD
- comps birthday on Wednesday so we got to celebrate with some members and ate the best hamburger and cake of my entire life
- AP skousen (best ap that ever existed and one of my best mission friends) and one of our zone leaders acompanied us to a lesson and wowww sooo powerful!!
- just walking in an area where we don't usually go, we found 2 inactive families who haven't gone to church in over 10 years and said they wanna come back
- our convert Benito disappeared for a whole week, didn't answer ANY calls and when we went by his house he was never there, the elders then told us that they ran into him in the street and he said he's fine but he just can't find his phone in his house, me and my comp legit thought something bad had happened to him..trying to give us a heart attack over here haha
- comp and i sang in church on guitar for mothers day while fasting...I had absolutely 0 strength to sing haha somehow we did it! Video of us practicing in the photos!
- our two baptism dates stopped responding to us, we had to take off the fechas

MIRACLE OF THE WEEK:
We had met our friend Paul three weeks ago, knocking on doors near our recent convert, and when we met him, we felt really strong that he was chosen. We tried a few times to have a visit with him, but we never had one until two weeks later. His wife is a nurse, so he has here more time for lessons than her, but we had a lesson in the chapel and taught him about the Restoration, and it was SOOO powerful! He kept the invitations we had given him. He prayed about the Restoration and read the chapter we had left for him in the Book of Mormon. He told us that he felt a lot of peace! 3 days later(Mother's Day), we called him in the morning, but he didn't answer, and we were so sad because we thought he wasn't gonna to come. And then, him and his whole family arrived exactly at 1:00 sharp for sacrament meeting. They stayed the full two hours and loved it so much!! We have a visit with them tomorrow and we're PUMPED!!!

SPIRITUAL:
I was reading 2 Nephi 28 the other day in personal study and came along this verse that says,

"For it shall come to pass in that day that the churches which are built up, and not unto the Lord, when the one shall say unto the other: Behold, I, I am the Lord’s; and the others shall say: I, I am the Lord’s; and thus shall every one say that hath built up churches, and not unto the Lord" then a couple verses later says "Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us."

FALSE. The day for repentance is NOW. Every day we meet people from soooo many different churches and when they reject us, which usually that's what happens, I'm honestly just sad for them. I know that sometimes is just not their "time" but it's sad knowing that they're losing all this time they could have to repent and come unto Him. But makes me happy knowing that THIS is the true church. Like it says in the first verse, all the other churches say they have the answers, but they don't. There's a youth song that I heard a really long time ago and I don't even know how I remember how it goes haha but it says

"There is one who sees
all I'm meant to be,
in a world a voices
who say they have the answers
I escape the noises, I close my eyes and now I turn
to the One who sees, all the pieces put together,
He knows me better"

Being able to testify that this church is true and has the answers gives me a joy I can't describe. I know with everything in my heart that this is the true church because He is the one who leads it🫶

Love you all so so much
